Processor upgrade. Old CPU heatsink / fan had 3 son (yellow, red, black). New son was 4 (blue, yellow, red, black)? At your service.
I recently upgraded my CPU from an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4050 E, 64 Athlon X2 a 6000 +. Now the old CPU Heatsink / fan son was 3 in the order of yellow, red and black. New son was 4 in the order of blue, yellow, red and black. I make the connection on the motherboard, but the blue wire has no cover in place the PIN is rather should be a soldier in my question is: Can I use the new CPU fan / heatsink without the blue wire? Or is it something that threatened my system. My hypothesis about its objective, which is something that regulates the fan speed. If so can I break in some way, just run to Max?
Hey there! Yes you can change the fan speed, but only by the BIOS or through your operating system through a program. Also, although the change of equipment especially with the specially designed fans that allow you to change the level of speed through a newspaper, but I doubt that you've used the same. I think the fan works fine! Hope this helps!
